WiimoteLib v1.5 Released

Wii-Balance-Board-1I’m really cranking out the releases these days.  Today I have released WiimoteLib v1.5 at CodePlex.  The big news is that the Wii Fit Balance Board is now supported.  The balance board is simply a very heavy piece of plastic with 4 weight sensors located at the corners.  The library reads those individual sensors to determine how much weight is applied to each sensor, and the total weight applied to the entire board.  You can use it as an impromptu (and very expensive) scale.

Comments and bugs welcome…

Wow!  Many thanks!  I had emailed you recently to ask about support for the WiiFit, to use it in research with autistic kids.  I will certainly give credit to your work when we publish our findings!

Thats fantastic! Thats a very great job! Now one thing is missing... to control the mouse with the IR...
If you add this feature, it would be really really great!
Please add it to the next update...
Thanks alot =)

@Pit, This is beyond the scope of the library...the lib is solely to handle communication between the Wiimote and the PC.  A separate application would need to be written using the lib to do that.

Hi,

I have a problem with the balance board. With the test programm and my board only the A-button an the led works right. The sensor still have the value 0.

Do you now this problem?

@Michael, You can try your luck with version 1.5.1 that went up early this morning, but some folks are having issues with that build due to some timing differences in their Balance Boards vs. mine.  1.5.2 will be up soon.
