IRSensor[]: Up to 4 sources of IR light

    Hi guys, me again.

Well, as far as I know, each Wiimote can track 4 IRSensors (please correct me if I'm wrong).
If I have, for example 10 sources of IR light in front of the Wiimote, will the IRSensor array get override every time in order to try to store all points?
    For example, at first time the array would hold sources of light:1, 2, 3, 4, in a second moment it would hold: 5, 6, 7, 8 and then in a third moment it would hold: 9, 10, 1, 2, consecutively like 3, 4, 5, 6 ?
In my project I would have to handle 10 or more sources of IR light.

    Regards!

You will likely get a (mostly) random selection of 4 points that it can see.  It won't be cyclical like you described.

So if the 4 first slots are already taken the other 6 IR sources will be just ignored?

That is correct.  The Wiiimote itself is only capable of sending 4 dots at a time.  If there are more than 4, I'm not sure what its algorithm is for determine which 4 to use, but you'll only ever get a max of 4.

Re: IRSensor[]: Up to 4 sources of IR light

I was reading the Wiimote article on WiiBrew and it is mentioned in Data Formats:

"With more than four objects visible, the camera is prone to rapidly switching between some of them. This could allow perception of more than four objects, at a reduced response speed and reliability."

From my understanding it means that it can (but does not mean if really will) replace the IRSensor slots even if one IR source is still in the device view, isn't it?

    Regards.

I believe that is correct.  The behavior I've seen is pretty random...if you have more than 4 sources, you'll see them all wildly blink on and off as the camera senses them.
