Hi there;

My pc is connected to a TV and doesn't have keyboard or mouse. Thus, I want to connect automaticly my wiimote without interacting with my pc.

Is there a way to automaticly connect a wiimote ?

Thanks.

Nico.

There is no native way to do this.  The Wiimote does not support proper auto-pairing.

Brian ,

I have a linux XBMC media server running with WiiMote intergration and it will auto connect the wii remote...

Its not that it doesn't support it. Its that you haven't found a way to amke it work...

That's because XBMC is doing the opposite pairing:  it's looking for Wiimotes connected to the machine and connecting to them.  It's backwards.  It's not true Bluetooth pairing.

There are a couple apps which perform this sort of process on Windows as well, however unlike linux which has a standard stack with a standard API, we have to deal with different stacks from different vendors with different (or non-existent) APIs, so those "couple apps" only work with the standard MS stack and (I believe) BlueSoleil.  That leaves Toshiba, HP, Sony, etc. users out in the cold.

So back to my point, the Wiimote doesn't support true auto-pairing, there are hacky ways around it, some less hacky, they're not across-the-board compatible, it's typically done at a level higher than my library (BT stack, not HID) anyway, so it's not something you'll see in my lib.
